Opening Night is Friday, October 21, 2022
This hit comedy by Sumner Arthur Long, revolves around Harry Lambert, played by Lamp-Lite Player Rick Jones, a married man in his fifties, who suddenly learns he’s becoming a father...again.
He and his wife, Edith, played by Charisse Gregory, were looking forward to being grandparents, not new parents. They have a grown daughter, Kate, played by Tiffany Gauntt, and son-in-law, Charlie, played by Nikolaas Van Kley, who hope to soon be expecting their first child. Up to this point, Harry and Edith had lived a simple life, with Harry firmly in charge of things both at his business and at home.
Suddenly confronting a new and unexpected impending birth, however, Harry’s previously meek little wife begins to lay down the law. Appearing in supporting roles are Jody Ryan, Bill Small, Trae Norman, Michael Ball, and Kasey Jobe.
NEVER TOO LATE ran for two years on Broadway and was presented by the Lamp-Lite Players in 1979. Lamp-Lite Player Ken Untiedt directs this revival of NEVER TOO LATE, which is produced by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com.
