Looking for a quirky Christmas present that will bring joy and laughter to the person you’re giving it to? Well, SEASON TICKETS to Lamp-Lite Theatre may be just what you’re looking for.
Each SEASON TICKET is good for admittance to six (6) performances between now and the beginning of the new season in September 2018 (which includes our Summer Musical in July). That means you can bring a friend and the two of you can enjoy three plays together.
Just download a SEASON TICKET APPLICATION from our website, fill it out, and mail it (along with your payment) to Lamp-Lite Players, P.O. Box 630446, Nacogdoches, TX 75963 … OR visit one of our three ticket outlets (Glass Castles, Kline’s Wrap-It-Up, or the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau) and buy your season tickets on the spot!
Get in the Christmas spirit early, as The Lamp-Lite Players continue their decades long tradition of performing a brief portion of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, as part of the Millard's Crossing "Old Fashioned Christmas" on Friday, December 1, 2017, from 5pm to 9pm.
There will be three separate performances — at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm — in the old chapel at Millard's Crossing Historic Village. Seating is limited to 80 people per performance, so be sure to get there early.
Admission to the "Old Fashioned Christmas" is $10 for adults, $5 for children and free for children under three.
Lamp-Lite Theatre will be collecting unused toys for the upcoming Christmas play, Finding Christmas, and then donating them to the local Marine Corps TOYS FOR TOTS campaign after the final show on December 10.
We will have a drop-off box in the entrance lobby to Lamp-Lite during all performances of Arsenic and Old Lace (Nov 3-12). Please help us help make some less fortunate children's Christmas brighter!
Auditions for this year's Christmas performance, Finding Christmas, will be held at Lamp-Lite Theatre on Saturday, October 28th, beginning at 10:00 am. Additional auditions may be held at 5:00 pm to accommodate anyone unable to make the earlier time.
Auditions are for adults, teens, children — singers welcomed!
Performances of Finding Christmas will be held the weekend of December 8-10. In addition, two performances for children only will be on Thursday, December 7, at 10am and 12pm (noon).
Please contact Pat Harris at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Tickets for Nunsense, the inaugural play of our 2017-18 Season, are now available for sale at any of our three ticket outlets: Glass Castles (downtown), Kline's Wrap-It-Up (on University Drive) and the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) in downtown Nacogdoches.
Nunsense is a musical comedy, which means that all seating is reserved. Our musical performances typically are sell outs, so it's a good idea to get your tickets ahead of time. Tickets (as long as they are available) will also be on sale at the Lamp-Lite box office beginning 45 minutes before the curtain goes up.
Season ticket holders will need to take their season passes to one of the three outlets to pick up their tickets, or they can call (936) 564-8300 to make their reservations and then pick up their tickets at the Theatre box office not later than 30 minutes before the performance begins.
Come and join us on Friday, September 8, at 7:30pm for Lamp-Lite Theatre's annual GALA. The Lamp-Lite Players will be hosting a reception, along with an evening of entertainment, as we get ready for our 47th season, which we have dubbed "A SEASON OF LAUGHTER."
The Gala marks the official opening of the 2017-18 season for Nacogdoches' venerable community theatre, so join us as we get ready for our 47th season.
Season Tickets will also be available for purchase during the event for those who have not already obtained theirs.
The new 2017-18 season at Lamp-Lite begins in September and now is the time to purchase your 2017-18 SEASON TICKETS.
There are several ways to apply for SEASON TICKETS. The quickest and easiest way is to visit one of our three ticket outlets — Glass Castles, Kline's Wrap-It-Up, and the Nacogdoches Convention & Business Bureau (CVB) — or you can simply download and print out a season ticket application and mail it back to us with your payment (check or credit card).
Thank you for supporting our community theatre. With you, we have been able to bring live theatre performances to East Texas for the past half century.
The Lamp-Lite Players will be presenting a special "August Surprise" performance of The Dixie Swim Club, a lighthearted comedy by the same trio of writers who created the hysterical East Texas trailer park comedy, "Doublewide, Texas."
Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other's lives. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends, which span a period of thirty-three years.
Performances will be held on the weekends of August 18th and August 25th.
Auditions for this summer's musical, The Wizard of Oz, will be held on Monday, May 15, at 6pm at Lamp-Lite Theatre. Be prepared to sing along with the piano. NO TAPES, please! See you then.
The Wizard of Oz will be playing the weekends of July 7-9 & July 14-16, with dress rehearsals on
July 2 through 5. Performers must attend ALL dress rehearsals in order to be in the play.
Evening rehearsals for adults will begin on Monday, June 12, at 7pm.
The Children's Workshop will be June 12-16 (Monday-Friday) and June 19-23 (Monday-Friday). All workshop days are from 1pm to 3pm. There is a $150 fee to attend the workshop.
If you have any questions, please contact Nita Hudson at (936) 553-8834.
Tickets for the upcoming comedy, Mister Roberts, are now on sale at the following locations:
Mister Roberts will be playing the weekends of May 12-14 & May 19-21, 2017. Avoid the wait in line at the box office and get your tickets early.
Lampliters, we need your help! SFA has their Big Event next Saturday, April 8th, and we will have a large group of students coming out to the Theatre to help organize and toss stuff from the pole barn and from underneath the Theatre. This is a major community service opportunity for students, who will do all the physical work.
What we need are folks with trucks/trailers to help transport the stuff to the landfill, as well as people to loan us their garbage bills or city water bills that will allow us access to the landfill for free.
If you have a pickup truck or, even better, a truck with trailer, please contact Brian Oswald by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Want a FREE comp ticket to one of the upcoming performances of “Doublewide, Texas” ?
Well, today’s your lucky day! The Volunteer Books are now open for the weekends of March 24-26 and March 31-April 2, 2017, as well as for the DRESS REHEARSAL on March 23. We need volunteers to work the box office, concessions and usher.
If you would like to help by volunteering, either for one performance or for several, contact us at email@example.com and tell us your date(s) and preferred assignment.
Volunteer shifts begin one hour before curtain and usually end about 15 minutes after the final act. Thanks for helping us continue making Lamp-Lite such a wonderful experience for theatre lovers.
Due to unforeseen licensing issues, we will not be presenting Barefoot in the Park. In its place, we will be performing a delightful new comedy, Doublewide, Texas.
PERFORMANCE DATES: March 24-26 & March 31-April 2, 2017.
DRESS REHEARSAL: Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 7:30pm. All tickets are $5 for that performance.
