The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild — Opening night is Friday, May 4, 2018 at 7:30pm
This kooky comedy by Paul Zindel takes place in the tiny living quarters behind the Greenwich Village candy store which Mildred (played by Pat Harris) operates with her husband (played by Trae Norman). Whenever the outside world intrudes, be it her husband, his meddling sister (played by Lisa Norman), their hard-boiled landlady (played by Wanda Schenk), the mincing butcher from next door (played by Tim Hogle), or the foreman of the wrecking crew sent to tear down the building, Mildred meets each crisis with a hilarious fantasy-scene drawn from her precious collection of over 3,000 oId movies.
As the action moves swiftly ahead to its delightfully unpredictable climax, Mildred's life is further complicated by such unlikely visitors as a bulldozer, a nun (played by Tina Oswald), King Kong (played by Steve Josephsen), and a super-efficient TV camera crew (played by Katarina Ireland and David Norton), all adding to the merriment and, ultimately, to the poignancy which infuses the play and the touching, funny escapades of its kooky, lovable and totally enchanting heroine. Also appearing in this madcap comedy Cynthia Hughes.

Talking With ... — Opening night is Friday, August 10, 2018 at 7:30pm.
Written in 1982 by Jane Martin, Talking With ... is composed of eleven 10-minute monologues, each featuring a different woman who talks about her life. It includes the pieces: Fifteen Minutes, Scraps, Clear Glass Marbles, Audition, Rodeo, Twirler, Lamps, Handler, Dragons, French Fries, and Marks. It premiered at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York in 1982 and has been performed around the world.
The play deals with the personal ordeals of each of the female characters, many of which are very touching; a few are even intensely emotional. However, there is also the very comical, but even the funny ones have an underlying depth to them that gives a sensitive insight into each of the characters involved. The ladies cover a wide spectrum of life and age, from the fading rodeo star in Rodeo to the young aspiring actress in Audition.
Tickets will go on sale on July 20, 2018 at our three ticket outlets — Glass Castles, Kline's Wrap-It-Up, and the Nacogdoches Visitors Center — or by calling the Lamp-Lite answering service at (936) 564-8300. ONE WEEKEND ONLY.

This farcical dark comedy by Joseph Kesselring centers around the Brewster family and two charming and innocent spinster aunts (played by Jackie Vose and Missy Devine) who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously "acceptable" roomers; the antics of their brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and thinks the dead bodies are men who died from malaria while working on the Panama Canal; and the activities of the other brother, a murderer who received plastic surgery (Bill Small plays the crazy doctor) to hide his identity.
Justin Hughes plays Mortimer Brewster, the role made famous by Cary Grant in the motion picture directed by Frank Capra. Also included among the all star cast are Les Balty, David McClary Norton and Trae Norman. The play opened on Broadway in 1941 and ran for 1,444 performances.
